Introducing Quicker Strike Controls

We’re excited to announce Strike Controls —a new feature in Sensibull Strategy Builder that transforms how you build and adjust options strategies.

With three new controls (Shift, Width, and Hedge), you can now fine-tune spreads, iron condors, and other multi-leg strategies in seconds instead of minutes.

Here’s a video where Sagar explains how the new feature works:

If you trade straddles, spreads or iron condors, you would typically load a ready-made version of it in Sensibull Strategy Builder, and then manually adjust each strike to hit your target ROI and risk-reward profile.

You might want to move your spreads and straddles closer to ATM strike for higher ROI. Or you may want to widen your straddle to increase your breakevens.

However, this is a bit difficult. You need to carefully adjust call strikes up, but put strikes downward. For strategies like iron condors, this involves a lot of clicks.

Sensibull’s new Strike Controls eliminate that friction.

Three Controls to Help You

1. Shift (Available for all multi-leg strategies)

Shift moves your entire strategy up or down the strike ladder.

  • All legs move together
  • The shape of the payoff graph stays the same
  • Breakevens move along with the strategy

2. Width (For straddles, strangles, iron condors & butterflies)

Width controls how far your call and put strikes are from the ATM.

  • Increase width → breakevens move farther
  • Reduce width → breakevens move closer to ATM
  • The system does not allow strikes to cross over so that your strategy is preserved

3. Hedge (For spreads, iron condors & butterflies)

Hedge controls the distance between your main legs and hedge legs.

  • Move hedge legs farther → lower premiums but higher risk
  • Move hedge legs closer → better protection but lower ROI
  • Your primary option legs do not move. Only the hedge legs change

This feature is available on Sensibull mobile app as well. Please update to the latest version from the Play Store on Android and App Store on iOS to access it.

Try it with your next trade and let us know in the comments if you like this feature.

And as always, happy trading!

Really a very useful feature, thanks for that. Can you also add a control to change expiry date of all legs in one go.

    hi
this feature set is good. can you do a similar exercise on saved strategies –

this feature request is to point out that saved strategies are useless beyond the moment they are planned.. if they are executed, there is no way to go back and check the strategy as we planned it.. so we need to have a provision to freeze a strategy – and prices and p and l levels maintained so that we can check as the expiry pans out.

also, another feature which would be useful is to take a saved strategy and reuse it with relative ATM OTM and ITM parameters.. for example if a complex strat involved 4 or 6 legs with various ATM OTM and ITM legs, this feature would replicate it with the same + or – legs.

if this is done; and with the new feature set of width etc, we can reuse previous planned strategies

pl check if this is usable.

    thank you

Excellent feature, love it. Please explore feasibility of adding a control for changing expiry date of all legs together. It will enable us to compare our strategy for all the possible variables. Thanks
