The FINNIFTY Contracts were introduced by the exchange early last year to track the performance of the Indian Financial market, which includes banks, financial institutions, housing finance, insurance companies and other financial services.
The contract is cash-settled and expires on the last Tuesday of the expiry period. If the last Tuesday is a trading holiday, then the expiry day is the previous trading day.
